Today, more than 35 million Americans have some type of hearing loss, which makes the deaf and hard of hearing the largest disability group in the United States. Many studies forecast that over the next 50 years, hearing loss will impact nearly 53 million people! The need for resources for the hard of hearing is greater than ever and will continue to grow.

H.E.A.R. Me Out is a nonprofit organization based in Denver that provides information and resources to the deaf and hard of hearing, friends and family who want to help and employers seeking to prepare their businesses for the growing number of customers and employees with hearing loss.

H.E.A.R. Me Out exists to give people with hearing loss a voice, connect them to the assistance they need, and help eliminate some of the challenges they meet in both their personal and professional lives.

Our Programs & Services

  • H.E.A.R. Me Out’s online directory is a centralized database of health professionals, hearing services, nonprofits and government resources related to hearing loss or hearing technologies. The directory contains searchable listings to quickly find information on hearing technology and services in their area.
  • Our imP.A.C.T. Training provides critical instruction to prepare businesses for the growing number of customers and employees with hearing loss. The program focuses on four core subjects, including: introduction to hearing loss, business implications, available hearing technologies and communication strategies.
